OPEN STUDIO 2012

My warm thanks to all the visitors to my open studio on May 19-20. It was a pleasure to meet new people, collectors and colleagues as well as exchange ideas with them about my practice as an artist. Their support encourages me to continue with my passion.

ART EXHIBIT AT PIERMONT POP UP

Some of my semi-figurative and abstract paintings are on display at Piermont Pop Up, a great new venue for art and design in Piermont on the Hudson River.

I am competing with lots of other artists to have a chance to exhibit my abstract art work at Saatchi in London.

HOMAGE TO PETER PAUL RUBENS AND THEODORE GERICAULT

On December 17, 2011 I unveiled two paintings from my last series "Homage to Peter Paul Rubens and Théodore Géricault". I also exhibited 10 prints enhanced by hand with watercolor from the same series. All of them were part of a group exhibit organized at my studio with artists from the same building along with a Holiday party celebrating the end of the year.

Beyond the surface - Group show at Matted LIC Gallery

On September 22, 2011 Matted LIC Gallery hosted Beyond the surface - Meditations on form, line and color. Included are some of my paintings and small studies. The show is on view until November 26, 2011.

Jorge Posada's studio has been published on PS1/MoMA's website. 

You can visit the creative space of the artist and find some recent 

art work at PS1/MoMA studio visit.

By the way, PS1 is located just two blocks away from Posada's 

studio in the same street, 46th avenue, in Long Island City. 

Both easy to reach from Manhattan or Brooklyn by taking the E, 7 or G train.
